The Hutterites In North America

Living the Canadian Dream (formerly Lyndon's Trucking Life) is just about to go into it's 5th year and this has been a most excellent adventure. We have gone from being an ordinary family living in the West Country in United Kingdom, me being a lorry driver and Janice my wife being a Royal Mail postal sorter...... To living what we consider to be our "Dream Life".

During the Blog I have tried to cover all aspects of our life and the Country we call home and tonight I have been analyzing what you, the reader, found most interesting. Strangely enough the posts that received most views (or hits) were the articles on the different peoples of Canada. One Community above all others seemed to captivate the interest more than anything else and that is the Hutterite Colonies.

I have put together some collections of books for anyone who is interested in an insight to these Canadian people.

You'd have to add "Das Vergessene Volk - My year among the Hutterites" by Michael Holzach.

Though copies may be a tad difficult to find if it's out of print.

Last time I was in Canada that book was everywhere.
