Great Falls Montana - KOA Kampground

This is our other favourite campground in Great falls. It is located on the other side of town to Dick's and the 2 sites are completely different. Where Dick's is open and flat, KOA is built in a wood which is on a hill, the roads are made of dirt and they are a little lumpy. The sites are quite tight to get into bearing in mind Zingy is a 26 footer which means she is 30 feet from nose to tail. So why do we like this place?????

Well the simple reason is because it is so rustic, apart from the washroom, showers and laundry which are immaculately maintained.

As I said the sites are quite tight but the huge advantages of the KOA are that, not only are you allowed to have a Kampfire but all the firewood is provided free of charge. It is all cut up for you and all you have to do is go and collect it.

We have visited this place about 6 times now and we absolutely love it.  The theme of the site is that of eating what is around you.  All of the sites are planted with edible berries, apple trees, pear trees, a;; sorts of stuff and you just help your self to it.  There are also loads of chickens roaming around but i don't think the Kamp hosts would be too happy if we were ringing a few necks  LOL.
